Originally part of the art-installation ‘Simple Tense Past’ by artist Jeu Plastique; a giant broken and dysfunctional hourglass, travelsunnysamsara’s ‘slowpacestrangedays’ is a piece of generative music that underlines the image of time scattered.
Created with virtual modular-synths, guitarloops, xylophone, oscillating delaylines and one of the generators spinning the ‘Dies Irae’ ..the often quoted four opening notes of a 13th century gregorian requim.
The sounds and pulses in ‘slowpacestrangedays’ randomly follow their own pace, spread out slowly.. sometimes clustered together.. building up energy.
This 2022 release is a re-edited and -mixed albumversion of the original installation-piece.
